Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SlopZero. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who we are
SlopZero is operated by SlopZero Inc., a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your use of slopzero.dev and the SlopZero services we make available (the "Service"). Contact us at [email protected].
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 or otherwise under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use. You must also meet any higher minimum age or consent requirement imposed by applicable law or a third-party service.
If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. You may submit code or connect repositories only when you have authorization to do so.
Referrals and promotional credits
SlopZero Inc. may offer promotional scan credits for referral signups, sharing on social platforms, or similar campaigns. Eligibility rules — including minimum GitHub account age for the signing-up account — are enforced in product and may change. Promotional credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be revoked when we detect abuse.
Access codes and signup modes
Depending on how signup is configured, new accounts may require an invite access code, join a waitlist, or sign in with GitHub directly. Access codes are personal, non-transferable, and provided at our discretion. We may revoke, rate-limit, suspend, or disable any access code at any time without notice and without liability. Sharing an access code, or attempting to circumvent gating of the Service, is a breach of these Terms.
Redeeming an invite links that code to your account and may grant extra scan and review capacity. Exhausting, disabling, or expiring the invite later does not by itself end access for an account that already redeemed it.
What SlopZero is — and what it is not
SlopZero Inc. is a code review tool that reads GitHub repositories you grant, shallow-clones source for analysis, and reports findings and scan results intended to help you understand potential issues in your codebase.
SlopZero Inc. is not a penetration test, security guarantee, legal advice, accounting advice, or professional services of any kind. SlopZero Inc. is not a substitute for a qualified security engineer, auditor, lawyer, or your own release and compliance processes. The Service does not certify that your software is safe, complete, or compliant.
No professional relationship
Your use of the Service does not create any auditor-client, lawyer-client, fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship between you and us. No communication you have with the Service — whether through scan results, findings, reports, triage sessions, or any other feature — creates such a relationship.
No reliance
You must not act, or refrain from acting, on any output of the Service without independently verifying it with qualified professionals and your own processes. You must not use any output of the Service as evidence of due diligence, as a defense in an audit or regulatory proceeding, or as a basis for any release, filing, or representation made to any authority or third party.
Your GitHub access and repositories
You connect a GitHub account and install a GitHub App that grants read-only access to repositories you choose. You are solely responsible for having the right to grant that access and for the repositories you submit for scanning. We cannot verify your authorization beyond the permissions GitHub reports.
Uploaded code
When you upload a working tree through the agent, you represent that you have the right to submit that code for scanning. Uploaded code is used only to run the scan and produce a report. We store the archive for a limited time and keep the extracted working tree with the same retention as a cloned repository.
AI-generated content disclaimer
The Service may use large language models to synthesize findings, generate commentary, and perform judgment or review steps on scan output. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or fabricated (so-called "hallucinations"). Always verify every specific claim against your source code and qualified review before relying on it for any purpose.
Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree that you will not:
- use unauthorized automation or circumvent rate limits; authorized agents, APIs, and MCP integrations may be used as documented;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive proprietary methodology, prompts, or scoring logic;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- scan repositories you are not authorized to share with us;
- attempt to extract training data, system prompts, or confidential instructions from any embedded AI model;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure;
- use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to facilitate any illegal activity; or
- interfere with, disrupt, or impose an unreasonable load on the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
Intellectual property
SlopZero Inc. and all associated trademarks, logos, copy, user interface, software, and visual design are owned by SlopZero Inc. or its licensors and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You keep your repositories and their contents. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, license, or interest in our intellectual property, except the limited right to use the Service as intended under these Terms.
Your submitted data
You retain ownership of your repositories and their contents. By submitting repositories for scanning, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, transmit, and analyze extracted code, findings, and reports solely for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service, including the right to share it with the sub-processors identified in our Privacy Policy to the limited extent necessary for them to perform their functions. This license does not permit us to sell your repository contents, to share them with third parties other than the sub-processors identified in the Privacy Policy, or to use them for advertising, marketing, or profiling. You represent that you have the right to grant this license for all data you submit.
Accounts and payment
You must use the sign-in methods provided by the Service to access your account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and notifying us of unauthorized use.
The checkout describes the price, currency, applicable taxes, billing frequency, renewal terms and cancellation method. We will not charge you without your authorization. For a recurring subscription, you authorize recurring charges on the disclosed schedule until cancellation; cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Refunds and any prorated adjustments are governed by the terms disclosed at purchase and applicable law. Nothing here limits a mandatory refund or cancellation right. Payment processors handle payment details under their own policies.
Triage sessions
If you book a triage session, the booking terms describe the price, payment authorization, scheduling, cancellation and refund rules. You authorize only the charges disclosed and accepted at booking. A missed session or late cancellation may result in a charge where disclosed at booking and permitted by applicable law.
Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part or all of the Service — including any feature, access code, rate limit, plan limit, or AI model — at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defect will be corrected.
Third-party services
Features may require third-party authentication, repository, payment, AI or communications services. Relevant data handling is described in our Privacy Policy and the notices accompanying the applicable feature. Third-party services have their own terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes our own legal responsibilities for selecting or using providers.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, representations, and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or title. We make no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements, that any output of the Service will be correct, or that any finding, report, or recommendation is suitable for any particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, and nothing in this section limits any right you have under the applicable federal or state consumer protection laws or other applicable law that cannot be waived by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory — is limited to the total fees you have paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For users of free tiers, this amount is zero.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, or for any security incident, breach, regulatory action, or professional fee arising from your use of or reliance on the Service — regardless of the form of action and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. These limitations apply even if any remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any right you have under the applicable federal or state consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SlopZero Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, liability, damage, loss, and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, or (d) any repository or data you submit to the Service.
Informal dispute resolution
Before filing any claim, lawsuit, or other formal proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] with a written description of the dispute and the relief you are seeking, and to negotiate with us in good faith for at least thirty (30) days to resolve the dispute informally. We agree to do the same. Only after this thirty-day period has ended without resolution may either party commence a formal proceeding. Nothing in this section prevents either party from (a) seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information, or (b) filing a complaint with any government regulator or privacy authority.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the informal dispute resolution section, disputes will be brought in state or federal courts located in Delaware that have jurisdiction, and the parties consent to those courts.
This choice of law and forum does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law in their place of residence. Either party may seek urgent equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent as closely as possible. If modification is not possible, the provision will be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Changes to these Terms; contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated in-product where practicable. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Service.
